Commitment
Veriqo Studio is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. I believe that every visitor, regardless of ability or the assistive technology they use, should be able to access and use this website effectively.
I continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards throughout the design and development of this site.
Conformance Status
This website is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
Partially conformant means that some portions of the content do not yet fully meet the accessibility standard, primarily in third-party embedded components outside of direct control. The core site pages and navigation are designed to meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.
Accessibility Features
The following accessibility features are implemented on this website:
- Semantic HTML: Correct heading hierarchy and HTML landmark elements (header, main, nav, footer) enable screen readers to navigate efficiently
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements including buttons, links, and form fields are fully reachable and operable using keyboard alone
- ARIA labels: ARIA attributes are applied to interactive and dynamic elements to provide accessible names and state information where native HTML semantics are insufficient
- Color contrast: Text and interactive elements meet a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against their backgrounds
- Responsive design: Layout adapts to a wide range of screen sizes, device orientations, and zoom levels up to 400%
- Skip navigation links: A skip-to-main-content link is available to keyboard and screen reader users to bypass repetitive navigation
- Descriptive link text: Links use meaningful text that describes the destination or action rather than generic phrases
- Alt text for images: Meaningful images include descriptive text alternatives; decorative images are marked to be ignored by assistive technologies
- Visible focus indicators: Focus outlines are visible on all interactive elements for keyboard users
- Form labels: All form inputs have associated visible labels and descriptive error messages
Known Limitations
The following known limitations exist. I am actively working to address or document them:
- Third-party embeds: Payment flows (Stripe) have their own accessibility implementations. While Stripe works toward WCAG compliance, I cannot guarantee full conformance within its embedded widgets.
- PDF documents: Some downloadable documents are being remediated to ensure full screen reader compatibility. If you need a document in an accessible alternative format, please contact me and I will provide one promptly.
Compatible With
This website is designed and tested for compatibility with the following assistive technologies:
- VoiceOver: macOS and iOS screen reader (tested with Safari)
- NVDA: Windows screen reader (tested with Chrome and Firefox)
- JAWS: Windows screen reader (tested with Chrome and Edge)
- Standard keyboard-only navigation across all major modern browsers
Testing methodology includes: automated checks for color contrast, tap target sizes, and semantic structure; manual keyboard navigation testing; screen reader testing with VoiceOver and NVDA; and Lighthouse accessibility audits.
