Information I Collect

Information you provide directly when you:

• Submit the contact form: name, email, optional company, and message. Your submission is stored in the site database and emailed to me, Blair Koorsen, through Resend.
• Subscribe to email communications: name and email address

Information collected automatically when you visit:

• Pages visited, time on page, and navigation paths through Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
• Interaction data, heatmaps, and session recordings through Microsoft Clarity, with sensitive fields masked
• Referral sources and traffic channels
• Device type, browser, and operating system (general, not device-specific)
• Approximate geographic location derived from network information
• Technical request information, which may include IP address, browser, referrer, and timestamps for security, spam prevention, and contact notifications
• Cookie identifiers (see Cookies and Tracking section below)

How I Use Information

Information collected is used solely to:

• Respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request
• Respond to inquiries and discuss potential work
• Send transactional communications such as order confirmations
• Understand how visitors use the site in order to improve content and experience
• Comply with legal obligations

I do not sell your personal data to third parties. I do not use your data for advertising, retargeting, or profiling.

• Resend: Email delivery service for contact notifications to Blair, order confirmations, and resource delivery.

I do not use advertising networks or data brokers. Third-party services are selected for reasonable data protection standards and limited to what is necessary to operate the site.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data I hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data at any time. Requests will be processed within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements

• Non-discrimination: Exercising any privacy right will never result in different or reduced service
• Portability: Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to specific uses of your data, including analytics

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

• Right to know: Request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you in the past 12 months
• Right to delete: Request deletion of personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions
• Right to opt out of sale: I do not sell personal information to third parties. No opt-out mechanism is required, but you may request confirmation at any time
• Right to non-discrimination: You will not receive different or lesser service for exercising any privacy right
• Right to correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information

In the preceding 12 months, personal information collected may include: identifiers (name, email address), commercial information (purchase records), and internet or network activity (website usage data via analytics).

To exercise your California privacy rights, please contact me or email bek@veriqostudio.com. I will verify your identity before processing the request and respond within 45 days, with the option to extend by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary.

Data Retention

Data is retained only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected:

• Analytics data: Individual session data retained for 14 months per Google Analytics settings; aggregated and anonymized data may be retained longer for trend analysis
• Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required for tax and accounting compliance
• Contact submissions: Stored in the site database and delivered to my email inbox. I retain them as needed to respond to your inquiry and maintain relevant business records. You can request deletion.
• Client engagement records: Retained for 3 years after an engagement concludes, then deleted or anonymized
• Email subscriptions: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion

You may request deletion of your data at any time. Requests will be processed within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under 16 years of age. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe personal information has been inadvertently collected from a minor, please contact me immediately and I will delete it promptly.

Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are in place to protect your personal data, including:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption: All data in transit is encrypted
• HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS): Enforces secure connections and prevents protocol downgrade attacks
• Content Security Policy (CSP): Controls which scripts and resources can load on the site
• Secure storage of personal information in hosted databases with access controls
• No storage of payment card details on site servers: payment data handled entirely by Stripe
• Regular security reviews of website and supporting infrastructure

No method of data transmission or storage is completely secure. While I work to protect your data, I cannot guarantee absolute security.

This privacy policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in practices, services, or applicable law. Material changes will be indicated with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website following a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
